Socialite Lori Harvey gives fans insight into her innermost thoughts for the first time and provides cryptic clues as to why she has moved on from several high-profile boyfriends in the past few years.
Pop culture observers believed that Harvey had found her life partner with actor Michael B. Jordan who is best known for his riveting roles in Black Panther and the Creed movie franchise. Many were surprised when the pair broke up in June 2022 after dating for about a year and a half.
Harvey has also moved on from music mogul Diddy and rap icon Future in the past several years.
Harvey, 25, explains her philosophy on relationships during a discussion on Bumble’s “Luv2SeeIt” YouTube series with Teyana Taylor.
“I almost got married very young,” Harvey said. “I felt like I hadn’t really experienced anything. I didn’t really know myself, I didn’t really know what I liked, what I didn’t like. I just feel like I hadn’t really experienced life.”
Harve said she eventually matured to the point where she began to “date on my terms.”
“However I want to move, whatever I want to do, I’m going to do it. And if it’s no longer serving me, I’m going to move on,” she said with a twist of bluntness.
Change can be painful, Harvey added, but change is also “the beautiful part of growth,” noting that she doesn’t desire the things at 25 that she once did at 21.
“Two different mindsets. Like, I don’t even know her anymore,” Harvey said to Taylor. “She’s not here anymore. This is who we’re dealing with today.”
Harvey, the founder of SKN, said she doesn’t take other people’s thoughts, opinions and feelings into account when charting out her life’s course.
“You can’t live your life based on what other people are going to think, how other people feel, because at the end of the day it’s your life — so what’s going to make you happy?” Harvey asked.
Harvey added that regardless of what she does in the future regarding dating, she absolutely refuses to “compromise my peace and happiness.”
“Don’t give your power away to anybody,” Harvey said. “That I feel is the key to being truly happy in or out of a relationship.”
