Jeff Milligan wants Black people to know it’s never too late to make your dreams come true.
Milligan, also known as Cashflow Jeff, quit his day job and became a real estate investor over 20 years ago. The risk paid off and he became a multimillionaire. Now, he’s teaching other people how to become successful in real estate.
At his booth at 2022 Investfest in Atlanta, Milligan spoke to rolling out about his journey and experience at Earn Your Leisure‘s event.
How was your experience at Investfest 2022?
Well, I didn’t know what to expect when I got here since this is my first Investfest. However, it’s been great seeing so many entrepreneurs of color here at Investfest. So, I will definitely say that it’s been great. I got a lot of people coming by my booth. We talked about some different things about investing, so it’s been awesome.
How did you get here?
I originally came from New Jersey. My background is, basically, I was a drug abuser of crack, alcohol, and all of that. But of course, I turned it all around because I just believed that God did not make me just to be mediocre. So I am no longer mediocre. I’m a multimillionaire. I do real estate. I teach real estate, and I helped other people in the community come up.
What do you hope to gain from this conference?
One thing I hope to gain is that I want to see other people win. I want to see us win. So I hope to gain that, and I hope to gain networking. I’ve done some networking with some very good people. We’re talking about doing some deals across the country.
How does it feel to see 12,000 to 14,000 Black people here to learn financial literacy?
Man, this is huge. Believe me, to see 12,000 or 14,000 young Black people or Black people period, all about building wealth is huge. See, we would only get together if it was a dance, a party, or something like that. But it’s finance, so this is very big. We’re going to flip the script on them and there are going to be many more entrepreneurs, successful ones, out of our community.
