NBA star Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony has been offered the opportunity to play college basketball at just 15 years old. Syracuse University, Memphis, Manhattan, and Bryant have already begun looking at prospects for their 2025 classes, with Anthony in that roster.
Anthony, a 6-foot-5 guard, announced the exciting news to his followers on Twitter. “Beyond blessed to receive an offer from Syracuse University! #GOORANGE.” The father and son duo made a surprise trip to Syracuse this past weekend. On Saturday night, Anthony received a massive ovation at Syracuse’s football game against Florida State at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Though he’s just a sophomore, Anthony has been playing varsity basketball at Christ the King High School in Queens, New York. If the Brooklyn native accepts the offer, he’ll join Syracuse’s class of ’29. As excited as everyone else, his mother, La La Anthony, called herself the proudest mom on the planet as she shared a carousel post via Instagram with Syracuse theme balloons.
“Your hard work and dedication are paying off. You are my son, my best friend, & my hero @kiyananthony … to get a scholarship offer at 15 yrs old from the school your dad won a championship with is mind-blowing …” she wrote. “Keep GOD first, and everything else will follow … thank you, @syracuseu. I LOVE YOU & I WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR #1 FAN!!”
