Over the last three decades, Las Vegas has transformed into a family-friendly location while maintaining its Sin City moniker of ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.’. Whether you are in town for a girl’s trip, a convention, a concert, or a sporting event, here are seven things to do while in Las Vegas.
Dine at Ayesha Curry’s International Smoke. Stephen Curry was coined ‘Chef Curry’ by Drake in a song, but the real chef in the family is his wife, restauranteur Ayesha Curry. Along with Chef Michael Mina, she serves up a memorable dining experience that is woodfired at International Smoke inside MGM Grand, which has a location in San Franciso as well. Whether its fish, steak, or ribs, International Smoke has something on the menu to please your palate.
Residencies at Dolby Live. From Janet Jackson and Bruno Mars to Usher and Silk Sonic, Park MGM has become the best home for musician residencies on the Las Vegas strip at Dolby Live, an intimate 5,200-seat arena inside the hotel and casino.
The Renaissance World Tour. The biggest tour of the year will touch down at Allegiant Stadium on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 as Beyoncé performs at the venue for the first time. The venue, which opened during the COVID-19 pandemic is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders and will also host the 2024 Super Bowl.
Sporting events. The aforementioned Super Bowl is 11 months away, but Las Vegas is the home of the biggest combat sports events in the world. The city is also home to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, and the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights.
Nightclubs. The biggest stars are always hosting and performing at nightclubs in Las Vegas, whether it’s Jewel nightclub inside Aria, which plays predominantly hip-hop music, or Marquee nightclub (and day club during the warmer weather months), which plays a mixture of all popular music. Both venues are great hotspots for celebrity sightings.
Drink and Dine at Best Friend. Before or after seeing someone like Usher or Bruno Mars at Dolby Live, Best Friend at Park MGM offers a hip-hop-flavored Korean barbecue experience. With guest DJs spinning classic records, the buttermilk fried chicken was a big hit, as was the grilled whole fish.
The Legacy Tour with New Edition, Keith Sweat, and Guy. Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, and Johnny, collectively known as New Edition will headline at T-Mobile Arena on April 7. In 2022 the Culture Tour, also headlined by New Edition, was a reunion of sorts, as it was the first concert for many since before the pandemic. NE is joined by their contemporaries Keith Sweat and Guy.
