According to TMZ, Victoria’s Secret which was founded in 1977 is set to bring back its infamous fashion show after a four-year hiatus. After receiving backlash for years due to a lack of inclusivity in models and overpriced lingerie, the company is now advertising itself as the ‘new Victoria’s Secret.’

During their hiatus, Rihanna, who performed two separate times at the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show”, launched her lingerie brand called Savage x Fenty in 2018. The brand was geared toward featuring people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and genders.

The “Diamonds” singer also launched a “Savage x Fenty Show” that included special guests like Lizzo who rocked Rihanna’s bold and creative lingerie on screen. Lizzo later launched a shapewear brand called Yitty geared toward also being inclusive to all shapes and sizes.

The performer shared her thoughts on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show coming back.

“This is a win for inclusivity for inclusivity’s sake. But if brands start doing this only because they’ve received backlash then what happens when the trends change again? Do the CEOs of these companies value true inclusivity? Or do they just value money?”Lizzo asked.

Some fans are now divided over the news and have questions about the brand’s intentions. On the other hand, fans are excited to see the new improvements the brand will implement.

Social media users chimed in on the type of models they are who they are hoping to see perform.
