A typhoon of adversity has wreaked havoc in Lizzo’s life, and it has gotten even more discombobulating with the reports that she and her boyfriend have broken up, which her camp denies.
Multiple outlets have noticed that Lizzo, 35, and her beau, Myke Wright, 36, unfollowed each other on Instagram. Moreover, the “Rumors” artist and Wright have scrubbed their respective platforms of photos of the other.
This comes on the heels of Wright’s ex-girlfriend of 10 years claiming that Lizzo was not only mean to her but asserted that Lizzo stole her man from her.
Most damning and inflammatory, of course, is the bombshell sexual harassment lawsuit filed by three of Lizzo’s ex-backup dancers, along with the testimony by multiple others that the “Truth Hurts” singer facilitated and perpetuated a toxic work environment, replete with fat-shaming and gaslighting.
If the relationship report is true, this is a left turn from just a few months ago when the couple appeared madly in love. In fact, Lizzo told the “Howard Stern Show” recently that she and Wright were “not playing any games with each other anymore. We’re very much locked in. There’s nobody else I’m going to be with for the rest of my life.”
That might still be the case. A rep for Lizzo explained to The Daily Mail that there is no truth to the published reports that Lizzo and Wright have broken up. The person, however, did not discuss the unfollowing on IG or why the couple removed photos of each other on their IG pages.
Lizzo and Wright quietly began seeing each other in earnest in 2021 before the singer gushed about the relationship the following year during a promotional event for the musician’s Amazon series, “Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Bug Grrrls.”
