Flavor Flav did not only go to the Milwaukee Bucks game to watch basketball, but he also went to scratch something off his bucket list that he claims he’s been wanting to do for a long time.

On Oct. 29, Flav stood among thousands of fans as he sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the game began. The rapper took his time performing the anthem, hitting the high notes, and giving the fans an encore at the end, repeating “and the home of the brave” three times.

The performance went viral, and social media had mixed reactions about Flav taking the stage to sing the anthem.

“Whoever works for the Milwaukee Bucks and signed off on Flavor Flav singing the National Anthem should be suspended for life,” an X user said.

Flav went on X after his performance, letting people know that he’s going to try new things, regardless of what people think about him.

The anthem was a long-time bucket list item … that was fun,” Flav said. “I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”

The big question now is what else Flav has on his bucket list because many people did not suspect singing the national anthem to be one.
