Not long after Megan Thee Stallion dropped her new song, “Cobra”, with lines that appear to address their breakup in which she raps “Pulled up, caught him cheatin’/ Gettin’ his d— sucked in the same spot I’m sleepin’/ Lord, give me a break, I don’t know how much more of this s— I can take,” her now former flame, Pardison Fontaine, took to his Instagram stories on Friday, Nov. 3 to cryptically post an infamous quote from Future that simply read “It’s an evil world we live in.”
Of course, the timing of such a post has fans in heavy speculation mode and all but sure that Pardi’s post was in direct response to Meg’s bars. To add even more fuel to the fire, the “Backin’ It Up” rapper soon turned off his comments on Instagram to head off the flood of comments we’re sure he knew were headed his way after fans put two and two together.
Meg and Pardi had been going strong when breakup rumors first began to circulate back in January 2022 with whispers of suspected domestic violence before Fontaine quickly put those rumors to rest via an Instagram story post at the time that read “Stop this cap nobody puttin’ hands on nobody … (At least not in that way). Been seein’ the break up rumors and was lettin’ y’all imaginations run … but y’all gettin’ too crazy … ain’t give n—— a story so they made one … we really been on it double time.”
In October 2022 the pair both publicly celebrated their two-year anniversary with each sharing sweet sentiments on their social media accounts.
Though it is unknown when the couple called it quits, we do know Fontaine has since moved on and is now dating dancehall artist Jada Kingdom, while Meg has been spotted canoodling with Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku.
