A car hit a part of President Joe Biden’s motorcade, which left him and his wife, Jill Biden, “shocked.” On Dec. 18, Huffington Post editor Phil Lewis reported the driver who hit the motorcade was under the influence of alcohol.

Social media users had fun with the latest update to the news.

On Dec. 17, Trending Politics reporter Collin Rugg put out the details the crash occurred in Wilmington, Delaware, and the first couple was shocked.

Bloomberg reporter Josh Wingrove reported the car “rammed into an SUV” that closed down a street where Biden attended a campaign event. It wasn’t the vehicle the Biden family was riding in.

“Oh!” A bystander yelled in a video taken at the moment the accident occurred. “They dumb. They dumb.”

Immediately in the video after the sound of the crash, you hear an official order the driver to open the door.

“Open the door!” the officer ordered. “Open up the door. Open up the f—ing door now.”

According to the Daily Mail, Biden’s Secret Service drew guns on the driver. Wingrove reported it was unclear if the driver was responding when police demanded him to open the door. Rugg, however, reported the driver was compliant.

Reuters freelance photographer Nathan Howard caught a photo of the discourse between the driver and the police. The driver had his hands up and kept direct eye contact with the officers.

The Bidens were not injured.

The president ended his weekend with a trip to his home state of Delaware. Vice President Kamala Harris visited Atlanta during the weekend to support her alma mater Howard at the Cricket Celebration Bowl, also recognized as the Black college football national championship.
