Watch the clip of Cedric the Entertainer stealing Katt Williams’ joke (video)

Katt Williams went off while being interviewed by Shannon Sharpe

Katt Williams was the talk of social media on Jan. 3 when the segment of the comedian being interviewed by Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay” was released. For almost three hours, Williams didn’t hold back and took jabs at several comedians, including Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart, Rickey Smiley, Michael Blackson and Chris Tucker.

Williams specifically went after Cedric the Entertainer, claiming he allegedly stole one of his jokes in the 1990s.

“He thought that I was just a no-name comedian and that he could take this joke and nobody would know,” Williams said. “The issue was that I had already done this particular joke on BET’s ‘ComicView’ twice. It had done so well on BET’s ‘ComicView’ that they made it part of the commercial.”

“This is not just a random joke, this is my best joke and it’s my last joke and it’s my closing joke,” Willams said. “1998, I’m doing this joke; Cedric comes to The Comedy Store. He watches me in the audience, he comes backstage. He tells me what a great job I did and how much he loves the joke. Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship.”

Hour later, Cedric the Entertainer responded on Instagram, saying “Revisionist History, regardless of whatever Katts opinion My career can’t be reduced to One Joke Katt Williams claims as his. I been [in] over 40 movies, my specials and brand speaks volumes for [who] I am. The ppl I have put on including ‘Katt in the Hat’. At the Gibson Amphitheater.”

  1. idk what nobody say its two diff jokes katt was talking about the car cutting off music to load and cedric is on black people following white people to the moon make it make since

  2. Shouldn’t it be how the joke was delivered. We all can tell a joke but at the end of the day how hard did you laugh. Any who if your so proud of the joke wouldn’t you be glad that someone is using your joke. If its word for word. Just a little curious!
