Karl Malone is receiving backlash on social media after the Utah Jazz teased an upcoming sit-down interview that involves him along with his former teammate and Hall of Fame point guard, John Stockton.
The Utah Jazz’s X account features posted pictures of Stockton and Malone with the caption “A once-in-a-lifetime duo sits down to tell their story. Stay tuned tomorrow.”
Many people are not impressed with or supportive of Malone’s media appearances and the NBA continuing to promote him after reports of him having sexual relations with a teenage girl when he was 20 years old in college surfaced. According to reports, Malone impregnated his 13-year-old girlfriend Gloria Bell, but then denied paternity.

In 2023, Malone appeared at the NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City where he was a judge during the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. People were confused as to why the NBA would continue to promote Malone despite his controversial past. He’s also been accused of being a deadbeat to his three kids, only acknowledging them later on in his NBA career.
