Hollywood heartthrob Omari Hardwick, who soared to international fame via his “Power” series, is now adding sultry sounds to his illustrious portfolio of artistry.
Hardwick, 50, who made the character James “Ghost” St. Patrick iconic on the cable series, waxes poetically on the new single which is coated with the angelic voice of English songstress Marsha Ambrosius.
The song “Destiny” is introduced to Hardwick’s nearly four million Instagram fanbase as he describes the resonating word:
“Powerful Word….DESTINY,” he penned in the caption. “I Hope You All Find Yours (especially my true ride or flyers)….”
In another post, Hardwick shows gratitude to his mentor and music legend Dallas Austin.
“Always humbled to deliver what I’ve made out of all God gave. And equally humbled to be a pART of this team/family that will help bring to all my fans ears…& hopefully souls too. @Daddistro birthed by my longtime A-Town brother & legend, @Dallasaustins.”
This single follows his pandemic-era album, 2540 Daze.
In related news, Hardwick has flirted with the idea of reprising his unforgettable role in the spin-off of the series that made him a household name. He was the principal star for six seasons of “Power” until he was killed off in the final episode in 2020.
From there, show producer 50 Cent and his team created the popular Power Book II: Ghost, which focuses on the maturation of Ghost’s heir apparent, Tariq, played by Michael Rainey Jr.
