Kim Burrell has gone viral once again. This time around, it was from her words to an attendee of a church service. In a clip, Burrell is singing in the church before saying a few words in between the song’s bars.

“It’s a solo,” Burrell said. “God’s using me. Don’t sing with me right now.”

Burrell then immediately went back into singing “Thank you, Lord.”

After that line, she repeated her message.

“I’m singing alone, now,” she said to the churchgoer.

The next time, she didn’t even finish singing the next line of the song.

“Thankkkk youuu — ma’am, ma’am, with that mask,” Burrell said. “Let that mask work for you, I’m singing alone. I’ll be back. No, I’ll call you when I’m ready.”

The clip has been viewed millions of times across all social platforms.

“Kim Burrell is a menace!!” @LoDaPen posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “This lady crazy.”

Comedian KevOnStage also had fun by re-enacting the scenario.

Burrell responded to the clip with a social media video of her own.

“When I tell you the year has started just the way we needed it to,” Burrell said. “So, here’s the narrative. I’m in the middle of ministry, and you know how you close out a sermon? I’m singing, ‘Thank you, Lord,’ and I’m thinking that I’m singing a solo. You’ve always got that one. That one that, has to join you.”

Burrell then chuckled.

“And I heard her, y’all,” she said. “And she was singing, and I was just going, ‘Thank [you], ma’am.’ Because I’m operating things from within the spirit. Sometimes, when I operate publicly, everybody doesn’t understand the dispensation of what I operate in.”
