In a moment that fans did not see coming, comedienne Mo’Nique issued an apology of sorts when she was on stage after getting advice from Judge Greg Mathis and sportscaster Stephen A. Smith.

Mo’Nique channeled her inner Katt Williams when she tore into her industry adversaries on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast. However, on this occasion, a viral clip from her recent performance shows Mo’Nique running across the stage to show contrition that had the audience both cheering and laughing.

As most fans know, Mo’Nique has been at serious odds for the past 15 years for alleged indignities she suffered at the hands of Oprah and Perry after turning in her Oscar-winning performance in 2008’s Precious.

In a clip going viral from her recent performance, Mo’Nique ran across the stage and said:

“You got to run to the apology, n—-. You got to run to it. I got to give one. I listened to Brother Greg Mathis. I heard you, Brother Greg Mathis. I heard you, Stephen A. Smith. I want y’all to understand something about me. When I have communicated something wrong, I’m a b—- who’s going to say, ‘I’m sorry.’ I’m a b—- who’s going to own what the f— I said. I’m a b—- who’s going to walk in what the f— I said. And I owe two motherf—— an apology because I communicated some s— wrong to them some years ago,” she said.

Mo’Nique continued, “Tyler Perry said I have to give him and Oprah Winfrey a public apology and I’m going to give it right now, tonight, in front of you n—- in Albany, New York. Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, I want to apologize for telling y’all to ‘Suck my d—,’” she said as the crowd broke out in laughter and applause.
