“Grey’s Anatomy” fans can rest easy that season 20 is almost here, but they should know that the personnel at Grey Sloan Memorial has gone through some changes.
The biggest change that fans will notice is the absence of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) as well as her half-sister Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary). For the first time since the show began, Pompeo won’t be a series regular but will appear periodically while Pierce left the show after nine seasons last March.
The new action-packed trailer brings us up to speed from where things were left in the air at the end of season 19 and gives us a hint as to where things will head with some of the unanswered questions fans were left with during last season’s finale.
Jo Wilson (Camila Luddington) and Atticus “Link” Lincoln (Chris Carmack) look as though they’ll be getting together sooner than later while Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) battles his alcohol addiction head on and Simone Griffith (Alexis Floyd) tells Lucas Adams (Niko Terho) she thinks they “need to talk about what happened” after their steamy hook up.
From the looks of things, the drama at Grey Sloan Memorial will be hot, heavy, and non-stop and we’re almost sure there are even more twists and dramatic turns coming down the road as season 20 rolls on.
Season 20 of “Grey’s Anatomy” is scheduled to kick-off on March 14 on ABC.
