Kali Uchis has given birth to a baby boy.
The singer and her partner Don Toliver took to Instagram on March 14 to announce they welcomed their first child into the world, though they didn’t reveal when he was born or other details such as his name.
The short video showed Uchis holding the baby in her hospital bed with Toliver playing with the tot’s hands and feet, before then showing the proud new mother rocking her son to sleep and feeding him at their home.
“You are everything we could have hoped for + more. Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, + thank you all for the Good energy along the way. may our home + your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness + health,” the post said.
The couple announced they were expecting a baby in December via the new music video for Uchis’ two new singles “Tu Corazon es Mio” and “Diosa,” which is split into halves in one video.
The pair took to Instagram to share some footage from the video, which includes clips of her pregnancy so far, as well as footage of them as youngsters. The pair said they “can’t wait” to meet their bundle of joy.
“Starting our family; don’t take too long to get here, little pooks. Mom and dad can’t wait to share our life with you,” they wrote in a joint message.
Uchis also shared the video on her Instagram Story and admitted it was the “greatest moment” of her life when she heard their unborn baby’s heartbeat for the first time.
“The greatest moment of my life was when we first heard your heartbeat. Since then our new little family has already taught me a love I’ve never known. To a lifetime of more greatest moments,” she wrote.
Uchis and Toliver started dating in 2020. They have collaborated musically several times.
