Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura initiated the spectacular implosion of Diddy’s enviable entertainment empire. And now, according to reports, the singer is helping to finish it.

In November 2023, Ventura filed an civil lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs in federal court in New York, accusing him of several transgressions, including sex trafficking, prostitution, drug abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Cassie reportedly spoke to the feds weeks before the house raids

TMZ reports that Ventura has been speaking with investigators for several weeks, though they won’t confirm this. Media pundits theorize that her accusations — coupled with the subsequent lawsuits by at least three others — gave federal authorities enough probable cause to ask a judge for a search warrant for Combs’ properties.

At the end of March 2024, agents from the Department of Homeland Security executed a raid on Combs’ mansions in Los Angeles and Miami and confiscated all of Diddy’s electronic devices and computer equipment. Simultaneously, several agents intercepted Combs at an executive airport in Miami and seized his phones. One of Combs’ alleged “drug mules” was arrested for having marijuana and cocaine on him. They were reportedly on their way to their vacation in the Caribbean.

The U.S. Department of Justice has been tight-lipped about the status of the investigation. Therefore, there is no way to know if the feds have also spoken to Combs’ former producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, and the other two women who filed civil suits.
