Jamie Foxx is “doing incredibly well” and was “back to his old self” while filming “Beat Shazam.”

The actor took time out of the public eye from April to December last year after he was struck down with a mystery medical complication. Sources are noticing that he’s “really on it” while shooting new episodes of the game show.

“He is so busy, and back to doing what he loves,” a source told People. “Jamie didn’t skip a beat on ‘Beat Shazam.’ He was literally right back to his old self. Really on it!”

Foxx is yet to have revealed exactly what happened, but in December he made his first official public outing since April 2023.

At the time, the Django Unchained star admitted he “couldn’t walk” six months prior while battling a mystery illness, and wouldn’t wish what he went through on his “worst enemy.”

He received a standing ovation in December 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, Los Angeles, as he walked across the stage to accept the Vanguard Award, but admitted it wouldn’t have been possible earlier in the year.

“You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago — I couldn’t actually walk,” he said, getting emotional while speaking to the audience.

“I cherish every single minute now — it’s different. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over … when you see the tunnel. I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light,” he recalled.

“I’m not a clone, I’m not a clone. I know a lot of people who was saying I was cloned out there,” he then joked.

In April 2023, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, announced her dad was suffering from a medical complication.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne explained in a statement written on behalf of her family. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

In May 2023, Foxx took to social media to thank his fans for their support.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” the Hollywood star wrote on Instagram.
