Don Toliver had a run-in with authorities recently but managed to avoid arrest in the incident.

According to a California Highway Patrol report via TMZ, the “No Idea” singer was pulled over by cops on Tuesday, April 9, in California’s San Fernando Valley for allegedly speeding.

Police report that the 29-year-old artist showed signs of suspected impairment and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. However, Toliver was not cuffed, put in police custody, and taken to jail. Instead, he was reportedly given a citation and left in the custody of another passenger in the vehicle to be taken home.

Thus far, neither Toliver nor the California Highway Patrol have issued further comment on the incident.

Toliver most recently made headlines after he and singer girlfriend Kali Uchis went public in welcoming their new baby.

“You are everything we could have hoped for & more,” the pair captioned a joint Instagram post. “Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, & thank you all for the Good energy along the way,” the caption began.

“May our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health,” read the caption on the post featuring birthing clips and quality time with their newborn, whose name they’re yet to reveal.

Toliver and Uchis have been dating since 2021.
