Forgiving forward, letting go and finding peace meditation

Come join us to the “Pathway to Peace,” a guided meditation brought to you by RollingOut Universe. Forgiveness is not just an act for those who have wronged us but a gift of liberation to ourselves. It frees us from the chains of past hurts, allowing us to move forward with a lighter heart and a clearer mind. Today, we embark on a journey towards inner peace and release through the practice of forgiveness.

Welcome to the meditation of RollingOut Universe, we invite you in this session focusing on the profound healing power of forgiveness.

Find a quiet, comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without interruptions. Close your eyes gently, or if you prefer, lower your gaze. Take a moment to settle into your space, preparing your heart and mind for the journey of forgiveness.

Let’s do a Countdown to Forgiveness

5 Take a deep breath in, filling your lungs with a sense of peace and calm. As you exhale, imagine releasing any feelings of resentment or anger that you may be holding onto. With each breath, feel yourself becoming lighter and more at peace.
4 With every exhale, feel the muscles in your body relaxing. Release the tension from your shoulders, your neck, your hands, and your face. Allow your mind to calm, letting go of the flurry of thoughts, focusing only on this moment.
3 Silently affirm your intention to explore forgiveness. Whether you are seeking to forgive others or yourself, hold this intention gently within your heart, acknowledging its power to heal and transform.
2 Recognize any feelings of hurt, betrayal, or disappointment that arise. Observe these feelings without judgment, allowing yourself to feel them fully. Acknowledge that these emotions are part of your experience but do not define you.
1 Visualize your heart opening, ready to release the burdens it has been carrying. Imagine a warm, healing light emanating from your heart, enveloping any wounds with love and compassion, preparing the ground for forgiveness.

Now, bring to mind a situation or person you wish to forgive. Picture them in front of you, and as you do, try to see beyond the hurt to the human being with their own struggles and pain.

Allow yourself to feel compassion for them, recognizing that their actions were likely driven by their own pain, ignorance, or misunderstanding. Understand that forgiveness does not condone their actions but frees you from the weight of carrying resentment.

Imagine a cord connecting you to this person or situation, transmitting all the hurt and negativity. Now, see yourself cutting this cord with a pair of golden scissors, releasing you from this bond. As you do this, affirm to yourself, “I release you and I free myself.”

In the space where the hurt once resided, imagine pouring in love and light. Feel this love healing all the wounds, smoothing over the scars, and filling you with peace.

If you are holding onto guilt or self-blame, gently turn your forgiveness inward. Forgive yourself for any mistakes or past actions. Affirm, “I forgive myself. I am worthy of love and peace.”

Let’s do a countdown, returning with Forgiveness

5 Take a few deep breaths, feeling the lightness that comes from releasing the burden of unforgiveness. Feel a sense of peace enveloping you, a gentle reminder of your inner strength and capacity to heal.
4 Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment. Wiggle your fingers and toes, feeling the physical connection to the world around you.
3 When you are ready, gently open your eyes, returning to your surroundings with a renewed sense of peace and clarity.
2 As you move through your day, carry this feeling of forgiveness with you. Let it guide your interactions and your self-talk, sprinkling your path with kindness and understanding.
1 Take a moment to reflect on this journey. Reaffirm your commitment to forgiveness as a path to peace, knowing that each step on this path heals not only you but the world around you.
