Embattled rapper NBA YoungBoy has been arrested on several charges and is being held in jail without bail.
Jail records obtained by news station WAFB9 state that YoungBoy was taken to the Cache County Jail — about 90 miles north of Salt Lake City — on April 16 at approximately 6:30 p.m.
YoungBoy, whose birth name is Kentrell Gaulding, is facing the following charges:
- Pattern of unlawful activity
- Procuring or attempting to procure drug/prescription
- Identity fraud
- Forgery
- Possession of other controlled substances
- Possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person
No specifics about the case have been revealed to the media by April 17.
YoungBoy was already serving what was termed as “strict house arrest” in Utah while he awaited an upcoming trial. He was indicted in March 2021 after allegedly being found with two guns during a September 2020 incident in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
