Chris Brown has taken his feud with Quavo to another level. Late on April 19, Brown released his response to the rap star with “Weakest Link.”

The track opens up with what sounds like Quavo leaving a voicemail asking Brown to squash their beef. Brown responds to Quavo’s jabs to him on “Tender,” and said Quavo was also seen dragging his ex-girlfriend Saweetie into an elevator.

In 2022, Quavo was romantically linked to Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend. The two were captured by paparazzi on at least two separate occasions together in public, and fans speculated they were also on the same birthday vacation for Tran that year based on social media posts. In Revolt’s “The Crew League,” a TV show where rappers play each other in basketball, Brown called out Quavo’s “b— a–” to join the league after winning the championship in 2021 and 2022. Earlier in 2024, Brown and Quavo were assigned to sit next to each other for a Rhude men’s fashion show in Paris. Brown posted on social media after that he couldn’t pick who he sat next to, and he wasn’t going to fumble his bag over beef. On April 10, Brown dissed Quavo on “Freak.”

“Okay, now f—— my old bitches ain’t gon’ make us equal,” Brown rapped. “Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo. Freak b—, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.”

The next day, on April 11, Quavo responded with the single “Tender,” where he seemingly appeared to confirmed to have slept with Tran.

Brown responded to that on “Weakest Link” as well, where he accepted Quavo slept with Tran, but he did that when Tran was his ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, Brown claims he slept with Quavo’s ex-girlfriend, Saweetie, when Quavo was still with her.

“WHEW ! CHILE.” Saweetie posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, moments before Brown dropped “Weakest Link.”

“Let me go re-write some of these ‘Nani’ verses,” Saweetie then posted after the song was released.

“Nani” is the name of Saweetie’s upcoming single.

The one line, however, that may push the feud beyond music is when Brown mentioned Takeoff, Quavo’s late group member and nephew.

“RIP to Takeoff, he the only one who got true respect,” Brown rapped. “Crazy how when he died, everyone wished it was you instead.”
