One of rap mogul Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges’ greatest accomplishments: his eldest child, Karma Bridges, just graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College in Atlanta.

Karma Bridges walked across the stage at the prestigious HBCU after obtaining her bachelor of arts degree in documentary filmmaking. Moreover, Bridges was initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, which celebrates excellence in liberal arts and sciences.

Elated father Ludacris exclaimed to his nearly 20 million Instagram followers that they need to “make sure you add ‘SUMMA CUM LAUDE’ when you speak about my daughter.”

The “Stand Up” lyricist and iconic rapper — who knows a lot about success in the music, movie, and TV businesses — conveyed pride as his daughter prepares to stand on her own after graduation.

“I am super proud of her,” Ludacris stated. “She is a multitalented, beautiful young woman. Her passion for her craft is infectious … And I wish her unbounded success and happiness.”

Karma didn’t need to venture beyond the confines of her household to find a role model for working toward and achieving success; Ludacris provided a foundation from which Karma can build.

Karma Bridges elaborates on her plans for the future

“I’ve always been drawn to storytelling due to its ability to heal, inspire, educate, create empathy and ultimately catalyze positive change in the world. As a young black woman, there’s an indescribable joy when I encounter films or TV shows that authentically and comprehensively represent individuals like me,” Karma continued.

“I believe that exposure to diverse narratives enables people to connect on a profound level, breaking stereotypes and creating a deeper understanding of each other’s lives,” the new graduate said. “As I move into the next stage in my life, I plan to make a difference in my community through telling unique and authentic stories that resonate with me and that will hopefully one day inspire those that will come after me.”
