One Inglewood, California artist celebrated graduating high school in a way like no other. The 18-year-old 310babii walked the stage at Grant High School when he was presented his certified platinum plaque for his single, “Soak City (Do It).”

The song went viral and became most known for “The Squabble” dance that frequently accompanied it. In the music video, D Smoke plays 310babii’s Spanish teacher. D Smoke was once an actual Spanish teacher and is also from Inglewood.

310babii also graduated with a 3.16 GPA, despite touring and constantly working during his season year of high school.

“Tonight, it’s my distinct honor to recognize an extraordinary individual who has achieved a remarkable feat while still in high school,” a school administrator read at graduation. “We celebrate not only talent, but dedication, perseverance and the power of dreams.”

310babii also performed at his own prom.

At both the graduation and prom, his fellow graduates appeared to be some of 310babii’s biggest supporters.

“In an industry where success often comes with years of experience, you are defying the odds by capturing the hearts and ears with his music at such a young age,” the administrator read. “His song has not only resonated with audiences but has left an undoubted mark on the music industry.”
