Madonna has teased that she will be releasing new music in 2025.

The Queen of Pop has taken to Instagram to reveal that she has been working with producer Stuart Price on new material that is set to be released next year. Price’s previous collaborations with Madonna have resulted in some of her most critically acclaimed work.

“Working on new music with Stuart Price. These past few months has been medicine for my SOUL,” Madonna wrote in a caption accompanying a video. The post quickly garnered millions of likes and shares across social media platforms.

“Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025?” Her announcement sparked widespread excitement among fans, with the post receiving over 500,000 comments within hours.

The 66-year-old singer collaborated with Price on her acclaimed 2005 album ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ as well as her recent Celebration Tour – which is said to have “reignited the spark” for the ‘Holiday’ hitmaker to make new music. ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Madonna a Grammy Award.

“Stuart was credited with helping Madonna return to form with their ‘Confessions’ album, so for her to start working again with him is hugely exciting,” a source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column. The album’s lead single “Hung Up” became one of Madonna’s biggest hits, topping charts in 41 countries.

“That record was incredible and Madonna is excited about what they can come up with. It has been five years since she released ‘Madame X’, which was a concept album and Madonna is ready to put down some new tunes. Working with Stu on her tour reignited the spark. She has fire in her belly and cannot wait to get started.” ‘Madame X’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking Madonna’s ninth consecutive chart-topping album.

Price revealed last year how Madonna had convinced him to get involved in her Celebration Tour that marked her 40 years in music. The tour has become one of the highest-grossing female artist tours of all time.

“When she announced the greatest hits tour I called her just to say, ‘Congratulations, I think this is a great idea,'” he said. “And she said, ‘I was just thinking about you, and I thought you’d be the perfect person to work with on this.’ So two weeks later, I went to New York.” Their reunion on the Celebration Tour has been praised by critics and fans alike.

The announcement of new music comes at a significant time in Madonna’s career, as she celebrates over four decades of influence in the music industry. With 38 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and over 300 million records sold worldwide, she remains the best-selling female recording artist of all time.

The collaboration with Stuart Price suggests a possible return to the dance-pop sound that has defined some of Madonna’s most successful eras. Price, known for his innovative production style, has worked with numerous other artists including The Killers, Kylie Minogue, and Pet Shop Boys.

Industry experts anticipate that the new material could incorporate contemporary musical trends while maintaining Madonna’s signature style. The singer has consistently reinvented herself throughout her career, adapting to changing musical landscapes while maintaining her artistic integrity.

The announcement also follows Madonna’s recent health challenges, including a serious bacterial infection in 2023 that led to the postponement of her tour dates. Her return to the studio signals a strong recovery and renewed creative energy, much to the delight of fans worldwide.
