We always knew Deion Sanders had the vision on the field. During his playing days in the NFL, he was a menace, catching interceptions and making it hard for quarterbacks. He proved he had the vision at Jackson State, recruiting Travis Hunter and his own sons to come play for an HBCU and then having them follow him to Colorado. Now there’s no denying he has the vision off the field as well.
A video surfaced from over two years ago while Deion Sanders was still coaching at Jackson State. The video features Deion Sanders talking to Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders about marriage and prenups. He then specifically zeroes in on Hunter talking about his then-girlfriend, who is now his fiancée.
“I think Travis got secretly married on us,” Sanders hints. Hunter denies it.
“I’m going to do the prenup for you, and I’ll be making it this thick,” Coach Prime states while he holds up four textbooks. The video is hilarious actually, but it shows the foresight Sanders had about the relationship, especially considering everything that happened this past week.

What should have been the happiest moment of Hunter’s life became a spectacle for the world to see — and, of course, the internet blew it up. On Dec. 14, during the Heisman Trophy presentation, Sanders had to nudge Hunter’s fiance, Leanna Lenee, to make her stand up and clap for Hunter like everybody else was. The internet was not pleased with that at all because, of all people, why was his fiancée not up and excitedly clapping for him?
This started rumors and theories that Lenee did not really like Hunter and that she was just there for his success. This theory found more support when an old video came out of Lenee where she said she curved Travis the first time he tried to approach her. It got so bad that Lenee decided to post an eight-minute video explaining the Heisman situation and a bunch of other things that she didn’t even need to tell the internet about Hunter and her, including that Hunter used to wait outside parties for her for hours because he did not drink but she still wanted to party.
Following that TikTok, social media was ablaze. Not only were X users roasting their relationship and advising Hunter to call it quits before they officially tie the knot, but celebrities started to give their two cents, too, including Comedian Godfrey, “It Is What It Is” cohosts Cam and Mase and former NFL star Cam Newton. The latest celebrity to give his opinion on their relationship is Bow Wow after seeing his fiancée’s comment under Anthony Edwards’ Instagram post.
