Halle Berry has never been shy about discussing her sexual proclivities, and she enjoys sharing tales of her bedroom acrobatics with her fans.
But the fact that she was peddling a sex product, while lying in bed naked under the covers with her longtime boyfriend Van Hunt — and on Mother’s Day at that — rubbed some folks the wrong way.
Other fans, mostly men, were simply envious of Van Hunt, who gets to share his bed with his golden goddess girlfriend every night.
Berry and Van Hunt filmed themselves while hanging out in the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival. Berry’s face appeared flushed, thereby seemingly post-coital. She was glowing like soft dinner candles.
Berry began her informercial by telling her nine million Instagram followers, “I’m told you how my Mother’s Day started. And now I’m gonna tell you — I’m not going to show you — how my Mother’s Day is going to end,” she said, pulling out a travel-sized container of a sex lubricant called “Lets Spin Intimacy Gel” made by a company called JoyLux. Berry has been their spokesperson for years with a myriad of informational videos on YouTube.
The Oscar-winning actress of Monster’s Ball concluded the minute-long video by saying she will end Mother’s Day by taking her intimacy gel for “a spin” with Hunt.
Hunt then added, “Oh my God! I was never so happy to see Mother’s Day come to an end,” sparking laughter from Berry.

Berry, the mother of a 16-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son, said in previous commercials that the products sell for $40 and can help amplify the sexual intercourse experience.

More than 2 million folks viewed the risqué video of Berry and Hunt, and the responses spanned the spectrum of perspectives. Many expressed disappointment with the Jungle Fever actress, while others believe that Berry should be free to express herself the way she pleases.

Still, others remain jealous that Hunt is the one in bed with Berry instead of them.
“She in bed with her father or what?” inquired one fan, while another expressed great disappointment. “Wtfffff Halle Berry’s stock just dropped.”
A third person was incredulous, saying, “Unreal. Very unbecoming for an Oscar winner. Do better,” while a fourth surmises, “I understand how people feel about this, but I say let her live.”
