Atlanta area police are on the lookout for 25-year-old Jimmy Carlton Winfrey.

Winfrey is allegedly the man who shot up Lil Wayne’s tour bus this past April after a concert at the Compound nightclub

The Cobb County Sheriff’s office believes Winfrey shot at Wayne’s bus in an attempt to earn street cred either with the Bloods street gang or Baby’s Rich Gang crew.

Of course, Wayne has engaged in a highly publicized war of words with both Atlanta+based rapper Young Thug and (former) Cash Money boss/Rich Gang member Bryan “Baby” Williams. Police are currently investigating both angles.

Winfrey is believed to have shot Wayne’s caravan of tour buses as they drove on Interstate 285. He’s charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage, criminal gang activity, discharging a firearm near the street, making terrorist threats and acts, possession of a firearm by a felon, and reckless conduct.

He is said to have caused upward of $20,000 in damages.
