George Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara quits

George Zimmerman arrives for a hearing in Seminole circuit court in Sanford

Mark O’Mara drops George Zimmerman as a client

George Zimmerman’s world is continuing to crumble. A representative for attorney Mark O’Mara, the lawyer who represented him during his murder trial, has confirmed that he’s dropped the neighborhood watchman as a client. O’Mara distancing himself from Zimmerman follows his run-in with police after he assaulted his father-in-law and reportedly threatened his wife with a gun and a knife.

A spokesman for O’Mara confirmed that the attorney will not represent Zimmerman in any future litigation including his divorce and any possible charges resulting from Monday’s drama.

O’Mara was on hand at Zimmerman’s Lake Mary, Florida home yesterday and held a press conference. While there, a reporter asked the attorney if he had any advice for Zimmerman to which a seemingly frustrated O’Mara replied, “Pay me.”

Although he will not represent Zimmerman for the fallout from the latest occurrence, O’Mara will still stand by the neighborhood watchman as he continues litigation against NBC for defamation and attempts to recoup between $200,000-$300,000 of his legal fees.
