George Zimmerman's MySpace Name Used to Be 'Dat Niggy'

Before George Zimmerman was jailed for the murder of Trayvon Martin, he was a “DatNiggyTB” on Myspace.

As previously reported, the 28-year-old turned himself into police Wednesday after special prosecutor Angela Corey called for his arrest. He has since been charged with second-degree murder, a charge that could land him up to life in prison.

Now according to a special report by The Daily Caller, Zimmerman’s active MySpace page was under the name “DatNiggyTB.”

The paper reached out to a member of Zimmerman’s family, who initially denied that the page existed because “George doesn’t use MySpace” but then later confirmed that the page was indeed his.

“I talked out of school a little bit,” the family member said. “That was actually an old MySpace page of his.”

While his family member insists that George “had forgotten all about that page,” Zimmerman’s last log-in was recorded as April 11, 2012, the same day he was charged with murder.

In addition to verifying the page’s existence, the family member explained that the “Dat Niggy” name was given to him as a nickname by his black friends while the “TB” stood for ‘Tugboat,” relating to his size.

The Daily Caller also noted that in addition to “DatNiggyTB,” Zimmerman’s real name on the site was listed as the Latin proverb: ”Si vis pacem, Para bellum” which translates to “If you wish for peace, prepare for war.”
