Are Threesomes the Answer to a Healthy Sex Life?

With all of the language in rap songs and on television about threesomes and sexual exploration, author and motivational speaker,  Angela T. Jones is raising the finger of disapproval.

The CEO of Super Woman Productions and Publishing LLC  is promoting monogamy and exclusivity. When couples hear the word monogamy, it’s seems that at least one of the two is deflated — the one who is most seduced by the hype from entertainers like Ray Lavender and T. Pain in songs like “My Girl Got a [Gotta] Girlfriend.” (I have to note that these are separate singles, not collaborations.)

Believe it or not, fantasy fulfillment can be attained by loving the one you’re with.

Jones, who grew her following when she began writing for Essence’s community page, believes that “it’s important to preserve the aspect of one-on-one, monogamous, relationships between a man and a woman.” Her collection of sexy and erotic short-stories, The Goodie Bag, is a how-to guide for couples — married or dating exclusively. The book focuses on the lost art of romance and provides the readers with different techniques to please the other. Jones says women have to give themselves permission to be sensual and sexy for the man in her life.

“I think this is a good resource for married couples because it allows them an opportunity to explore their fantasy in the first person and imagine themselves playing it out versus reading about characters they know nothing about,” Jones offers. There are seven short stories and two erotic poems with pictures throughout. Jones is the model.

The Internet has proved to be a great stomping ground for this soldier of love to command and promote marriage preservation. “I write a blog at least once a week on various topics including relationships, motivational aspects, maintaining your career, being in business, pop culture. I am on Twitter[@BestSuperWoman], Michael Baisden’s Mingle City and on LinkedIn because I am an entrepreneur, a publisher offering publishing services to aspiring authors,” she shares.

Jones, who dates exclusively looks forward to marriage in the next year as well as expanding her brand. ‘The Goodie Bag is the first of a series. I have part two coming out this fall, as well as a novel that explores relationships between men and women and how we sometimes have fickle and superficial ideas of what relationships should be. It is very important for me to [write] this novel, He’s a Problem. [It’s] for women who get into a mindset of trying to change a man. [They need to understand] he’s really a work in progress.”

Jones lives in Detroit and is the mother of an 18-year-old son who is a freshman at Clark Atlanta University. –yvette caslin
