Law enforcement in Atlanta have issued a warrant for Gucci Mane’s arrest after the famously troubled but talented rap label boss allegedly broke a bottle over the head a soldier during a club appearance.

Channel 2 Action News states that the soldier, who had recently returned from Afghanistan and was celebrating his birthday, was looking to take a picture with Gucci inside the VIP section of Harlem Nights in downtown Atlanta when Gucci Mane suddenly attacked him. Photos taken at the hospital show the top of the soldier’s head with a deep laceration, which was caused by a champagne bottle.

The soldier, who wanted to only go by his first name James, says he was shocked by the attack from Gucci, born Radric Davis, because it was unprovoked.

“I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?” he said he asked the security guard. “I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle.”

He continued, “And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face.”

James was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital a few blocks away where he got 10 stitches to close the head wound. He also had a concussion and says he is suffering from bad headaches.

“That is dangerous because if there was to be any other fan trying to approach him, ain’t no telling what else he might do to them,” James said. “He could have possibly killed me. I just hope and pray that I recover pretty well because I still want to serve my military career.”

According to Lt. Jeff Cantin of the Atlanta Police Department, there is an active warrant for Gucci’s arrest.
