It may be hard to believe, celebrities can be abusive or the victims of domestic violence. In the last week, two of Hollywood’s brightest stars, 50 Cent and actor Terrence Howard have gone under fire for alleged abuse against their mates.
Oscar nominated Terrence Howard has been ordered to steer clear of his ex-wife after claims that he “sucker punched” and kicked her. Rapper 50 Cent who plead not guilty in court on Monday is facing charges of domestic violence after allegedly attacking his baby mama Daphne Joy as well as destroying thousands of dollars of her property.
Unfortunately, this type of violent behavior has become more common. While for many in our community, it may be “accepted” in some cases. It is sad to say that one in every four women will experience physical abuse within their lifetime, making them 85 percent of domestic violence victims.
