The former NFL quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who came to widespread fame as a pioneering duo-threat, running-throwing quarterback in the 1990s, filed a petition for divorce in Fulton County, Ga., (Atlanta) against the shy, demure Porsha Stewart, stating that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
That Kordell and Porsha Stewart had been having conflict is well known. Several women on RHOA voiced strong objections to Porsha Stewart’s alleged “subservience” to her husband; they believed that Kordell Stewart was extremely controlling and too conservative or “traditional” for their liking.
Kordell Stewart did not make Porsha sign a prenup, according to accessatlanta.com, so the divorce proceedings will probably experience turbulence as they divide up the assets.
The couple, interestingly enough, had been keeping up appearances on social media, but Kordell Stewart admitted to missing the “RHOA” reunion because of “other obligations.” Now we know what those other obligations are. He wants out of the marriage.
It is a well known fact that Stewart strongly urged his wife Porsha to quit “RHOA” since he believed the show cast him in a bad light and subjected him to intense scrutiny and criticism. But Porsha Stewart rebuffed his demands because, as she voiced on the RHOA, she wants a baby and a career and she desired to continue with “RHOA.”
Stay tuned for further developments.
