Mariah Carey has received a lot of hate and criticism over the past week over her choppy vocals on her “The Elusive Chanteuse Tour.” And though Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon, are in the midst of a high profile divorce, Cannon is still diligently serving as a doting soon to be ex-husband, he recently defended her against her critics.
While talking with “Extra” about Carey’s vocal troubles, Cannon described her as one of the greatest entertainers and told critics not to be so harsh.
“I just wish her nothing but the best, we’re in contact constantly, you know you might have an off night here and there, but she’s one of the greatest performers and entertainers of all time, she’s not worried, we’re not worried, just going to keep pushing,” Cannon explained.
Cannon also touched on his split from Carey and explained that he’s taking things slowly in the wake of their breakup.
“I’m just taking everything one day at a time and just being the best person that I can possibly be at the end of the day,” Cannon said.
Well, Cannon and Carey’s marriage may be over, but it looks like he’ll never stop being a part of her support system.
But that isn’t all he talked about. Check out his explanation of his new “Mariah” cover up tattoo after the cut. – nicholas robinson
