There’s a formula for celebrity breakups — generally speaking, once the ish hits the fan, the seasoned publicist swoops in and, 1). Denies that the breakup will occur, followed by staging a public outing to hush rumors; 2). Asks that you respect the couple’s privacy during this difficult time, and finally, 3). Releases a statement from both parties that promises: “We will continue to support one another for the sake of our children.”
However, when the celebrity (or a third party) skips the public relations department and handles the news of the breakup themselves, things can really get ugly.

7. Winning!
The public crash and burn of Charlie Sheen’s television career (“Two-And-A-Half-Men“) recalled his previous issues with ex-wife Denise Richards. The couple split in 2006 after Richards claimed that Sheen was abusive. Sheen told Access Hollywood: “These are merely somebody’s claims…at some point I will just have to pray for her.”
Richards added that Sheen had an online porn habit that included memberships/visits to “sites with gay pornography also involving very young men who did not look like adults.”
Sheen shot back: “You are a pig. A sad, jobless pig who is sad and talentless and, um, oh yeah, sad and jobless and evil and a bad mom, so go [expletive] yourself, sad, jobless pig.”
