The Amazing Spiderman 2 swings into its big opening weekend, grossing over $8.7 million. Starring in the hit Marvel film is the multi-talented Jamie Foxx, who brings a little extra villainy to the flick.
In the latest installment of the 2012 Spiderman franchise, Foxx stars as one of three villians, Electro, a glowing blue, supercharged supervillain, who squares off with Spiderman in an electrifying showdown in Times Square.
“(It) was like taking me and dipping me in blue candle wax for four hours — But then, when I looked at it and saw what they did with the computer-generated imagery (CGI)–it was incredible. People don’t even know that it’s actually me–they think it’s all CGI,” Foxx comments on his latest role.
Like many of his films, Foxx had to transform and push himself to the limit in order to grasp the true essence of his character.
