Big Sean has joined Roc Nation. Jay Z’s infamous entertainment company and music label landed the Detroit rapper and will be handling his management duties. Sean broke the news last night via Instagram, revealing that he’s still an artist on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, but will now be managed by the house that Jay built.
Sean is joining a roster that includes stars like Rihanna, Kanye West, Shakira, Timbaland, Meek Mill, Haim, Melanie Fiona, DJ Mustard, Santigold and others. He makes this announcement just weeks after Maybach Music Group’s Wale revealed that he was no longer managed by Roc Nation.
Sean also confirmed that he will be releasing new music today, but shared no details. “New music … tomorrow,” was all the rapper tweeted. Sean’s most recent studio album is 2013’s Hall of Fame. He’s currently prepping his third album, as of yet untitled project to be released G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam.
