Chief Keef‘s associates are becoming known for getting in almost as much trouble as the controversial Interscope rapper himself. Durk D. Banks, also known as rapper Lil Durk, was arrested in Chicago on June 5 for a gun violation — his second such arrest in two years.

Durk was investigated by the police after they’d reportedly received a call for a man with a gun around 3 a.m. early Wednesday morning. Cops arrived and allegedly saw the 20-year-old tossing a gun into his car.

Police discovered a loaded .40-caliber firearm, and the rapper was taken into custody in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. Durk has been charged with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Previously, he was sent to prison in 2011 after police discovered he had a gun on his person with its serial numbers filed away. He was released last summer.

According to police records, Durk was scheduled to complete his parole at the end of July.

So far in 2013, Keef has served 60 days in a juvenile detention center for violating his probation. He has also been arrested for speeding and marijuana possession. His associate, Lil Reese, was arrested in April on a felony warrant stemming from footage that surfaced last year of him beating a woman.

Lil Durk was just signed to French Montana‘s Coke Boys roster in May.
