For years now, Chris Brown has been in and out of trouble and has pushed his luck more than his fair share of times when it comes to staying out of jail. But now it seems like his bad boy life has caught up to him because reports claim that the singer’s probation has now been revoked.
According to TMZ, Brown appeared in court yesterday for a progress report and a judge informed him that the probation report presented several problems about Brown’s lifestyle and behavior.
Brown’s probation officer discussed in the report the recent shooting in San Jose, California, last Sunday when five people were shot while Brown was onstage.
The judge also took offense to Brown leaving for the San Jose show without permission, which is a violation of his probation.
The PO also addressed the shooting at 1OAK last year during VMA weekend when several people, including Suge Knight, were shot while Brown was onstage.
Brown’s PO also noted that Brown was previously arrested twice while on probation, once for an assault in Washington, D.C., and another arrest for hurling a rock at his mother’s car while he was in a rehabilitation center.
Although the judge had no evidence to prove that Brown was criminally involved in the recent shootings, Brown’s PO said that “there is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured.”
Brown’s PO says that the singer has “a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive,” and he recommended to the judge that Brown serve time because he’s too focused on his career and not focused enough on community service and rehabilitation.
The judge won’t hold a formal hearing until March 20, but if he deems that Brown “willfully” violated his probation, then Brown is facing prison time for felony charges.
