The drug epidemic has haunted black communities for decades. As a result of being raised in those communities and experiencing the effects of the drug trade, many rappers have incorporated tales of cocaine trafficking and drug abuse within their music. Atlanta-based artist Future appears to be the next rapper to speak often on the life in the trap with his debut album Pluto.

However, there is a thin line between the examination and glorification of the  drug trade.
