After numerous reports surfaced claiming that rapper DMX would star in a new reality series that would reunite him with his children following his prison release, reps for the rapper have come forward to deny the reports.
According to AllHipHop, several media outlets reported that DMX would star in a reality show called “X-Tended Family,” which would show the oft-incarcerated rapper reuniting with 10 of his children, including some he’s never met.
Now, DMX’s official publicist is saying that the reports are false and that the source for the misleading info is most likely one of DMX’s ex-girlfriends.
A member of DMX’s camp elaborated on the situation, explaining that one of DMX’s baby’s mothers’s released the false information to the press.
“My guess is it’s coming from Yadia and her people … this guy also set up a press conference that I had to shut down because X knew nothing about it,” said the source.
Reps for DMX did confirm that the rapper is in the studio working to complete his comeback album, Redemption of the Beast. Although a reality show about DMX’s “daily life” and kids would no doubt be every kind of interesting imaginable, something tells us that X should avoid any potentially damaging projects for a long while. –nicholas robinson
