Mathew Knowles Denies Stealing From Beyoncé

Beyoncé shocked the world earlier this year when it was announced that she’d cut business ties with her father and former manager Mathew Knowles. And although many believed the split to be amicable, Knowles has now filed legal papers showing otherwise, alleging that his daughter is under the impression that he stole money from her.

According to legal papers obtained by gossip site TMZ, Knowles is claiming that Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to hold a lucrative stake in Beyoncé’s 2011 World tour and told the 4 singer that Mathew “had stolen money from Beyoncé on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to,” according to the documents.

Knowles alleges that Live Nation’s plan to divide him and his daughter was successful and that Beyoncé had her law firm conduct an audit, which revealed that Knowles had indeed embezzled money from the star, forcing Beyoncé to fire her father.

After firing Knowles, Beyoncé then hired a former Live Nation executive as her manager.
