Rolling out held its fifth annual Female Success Factor Top 25 Women of Atlanta awards dinner at the chic Twelve Hotel in Atlanta on Thursday, Nov. 12. The accomplished and celebrated honorees represented women from a diversity of backgrounds and professional callings. Mistress of ceremonies Nicole Sweeney, host of “Midday Jazz Swing” on Jazz 91.9 WCLK radio station, moderated the event and introduced the 25 award winners. 2009 Top 25 winner, Rosemary Jones, director of Turner Broadcasting supplier diversity program, encouraged women to commit to businesses that demonstrated racial sensitivity and actively support African American objectives.
Following a performance from the Ballethnic Dance Company, honorees took the stage amid cheers from loyal supporters to receive their awards.
“Their level of service is why we labeled them titans in their respective industries and communities … Their leadership allows others to follow the trails they have marked, so don’t stop,” commented Steed Media Group CEO, Munson Steed, publisher of rolling out.
The Female Success Factor two-part program culminates with a symposium and panel discussion at noon on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Atlanta History Center. The Creating the Total You program is intended to help women balance their physical, financial and mental well-being. The panel, which will be led by Judge Glenda Hatchett of the “Judge Hatchett” television show, will also include Marcia Paige, corporate advertising director, Moroch; Yolanda Reynolds, host of “Profiles at Sundown” on WCLK radio station; and the Honorable Evelyn Wynn-Dixon, mayor of the city of Riverdale, Ga., along with other distinguished speakers. –roz edward
