DJ Traci Steele and DJ Babey Drew before “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”
Before DJ Traci Steele and DJ Babey Drew were bickering on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” they were a Virginia-based couple whose love for the turntables brought them together. DJ Traci Steele began her career in music in Hampton, Virginia after answering an open call at Hampton University’s radio station for new talent. While there, she met Babey Drew and sparks apparently flew.
In addition to dating and later having a baby with her fellow DJ, Steele landed a gig as Musiq Soulchild’s official DJ. She toured across the globe with the singer and managed to rub elbows with the likes of Mo’Nique, Pharrell Williams and Rico Love. She’s currently on-air talent for Hot 107.9 Atlanta.
Likewise, Drew used his talent to work at Virginia’s Z104 before being named Chris Brown’s official tour DJ. While working with Brown, he also trekked across the globe and met a plethora of celebs.
