Paris Hilton More Popular Than Current U.S. Congress

Freshman Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., unleashed a hailstorm on his colleagues recently with statistics that display the unpopularity of Congress. With its approval rating at 9 percent, Paris Hilton is more popular at 14 percent than the current sitting Congress. The Internal Revenue Service’s approval rating stands at 40 percent.

In a resounding response of maintaining its current course, congressional leaders announced this week that the so-called Super Committee failed to negotiate a deal that would raise taxes on the 1 percent of the richest Americans and require a shared responsibility in entitlement reform.
