Mo’ne Davis made history by throwing like a girl. The 13-year-old pitcher from Philadelphia was impressive in her first game in the Little League World Series by dominating the competition.

Davis entered the game as one of only 18 girls to ever participate in the prestigious youth tournament. From the onset, Davis lived up to the media hype while facing off against an experienced Nashville team that made the tournament last year.

Throughout the game, Davis frustrated batters with her 70 mph fastball. She finished the game with eight strikeouts, no walks, and only gave up two infield  hits.

Davis threw 70 pitches and ended the game with three straight strikeouts.

Davis will start for her team when they play Tuesday.
