This week, Melyssa Ford found herself in a tragically violent situation when she was hit in the head with a bottle by her fellow “Blood Sweat and Heels” co-star, Geneva Thomas. Now that the fight is over, Ford has now given an update on the brawl as well as her health.
As previously reported, Ford sustained a pretty nasty cut from the bottle that required three stitches to close it. TMZ caught up with Ford as she was being wheeled out of the Lenox Hill hospital in NYC Thursday, and it appears that she also suffered a foot or ankle injury in the fight as well.
When asked if she knew what started the fight, Ford responded, “I have no idea.”
Ford is still receiving treatment for her injuries and when asked what the next step is for her, she explained that “recovery” is her focus right now.
After the fight, Ford’s attacker, Thomas, was later arrested and booked at the 6th Precinct of Manhattan where she was charged with two felony assaults. And when Ford was asked whether she’d press charges of her own, she explained that she can’t talk about the case because the investigation is still ongoing.
Understandably, Ford shared that she hasn’t spoken to Thomas since, but we expect that when the two finally do speak it won’t be peaceful.
Hopefully though, both women will learn to show respect and concern for other human beings and settle their differences without violence. – nicholas robinson
