Stacey Dash Blasted for Endorsing Mitt Romney for President

Stacey Dash Bashed for Romney Endorsement

A star of 90s cult classic is being blasted today after throwing her support behind Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential election. Stacey Dash, whose been recently spotted promoting a reunion of the entire ‘Clueless’ cast, took to Twitter Sunday to make it very clear who she wants in the White House. “Vote for Romney,” said Dash. “The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney,  she added.  She then posted a poorly photoshopped picture of herself beside an American flag with a grotesquely large hand.

The 140 characters obviously didn’t go over very well with a number of her followers because the African American and Mexican actress was quickly blasted for being a turncoat and an overall ‘Uncle Tom.’ “This hurts, but you a Romney lover and you slutting yourself to the white man only proves why no black man married u @REALStaceyDash!,” said one user. “Dont get mad at Obama cause u got kicked off ‘Single Ladies’ ” chided another. There were of course much more serious and much more insulting attacks, so much so that the 46-year-old star followed up with a tweet that said, “My humble opinion… EVERYONE is entitled to one.” A number of Republicans have since started up a #ISupportStaceyDash hash tag in and posted pictures like the following in her honor.

Unfortunately for Dash that photoshopped photo is a far cry from the grievances still flooding her mentions. Check out a few more #StaceyDashIsAPlumFoolForEndorsingRomney tweets below.-danielle canada

@zobop republic – Frankly, a Black celebrity who DOESN’T endorse Obama is being the true rebel. So, I applaud Dash for thinking for herself.

The fact that Obama proved such a loser in that first presidential debate may have also made Dash reconsider her party affiliation. Even Bill Maher had to admit Obama was a major loser:

    Good for you, Stacey.

  • Soo…Republican’s endorse her and show their support by objectifying her and displaying her as a sex object? Ugh…Forget her ethnicity…as a woman she’s making the wrong decision.

Why are blacks the only group who don’t allow one other to engage in independent thought, without fear of facing ridicule and slander? We are NOT a monolithic group of people. We are just as diverse as any other group. Your situation, values, etc may be completely different from mine, yet we obligate each other to have the same politics? Doesn’t make sense.

“Why are blacks the only group who don’t allow one other to engage in independent.”

For the same reason you think it’s okay to stereotype a whole “group” of people.
You can’t speak for the supposed “only group,” because you don’t know the size of the “group” to which you’re referring.
In the future, state your case from your singular position, and not destroy your argument by using the tactic you say you deplore–referring to us as a “monolithic group of people.”
Say something like this: “I allow others to engage in independent thought, without fear of facing ridicule and slander. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone did?”

She has the right to endorse whomever she chooses (that’s the beauty of our country). But all this taking pictures with her boobs out and a$$ out is ridiculous and demeaning. Get a clue Stacey. Stop pulling stunts like this just to stay relevant.

What a bunch of jealous racist haters here! There are intelligent black women who are color blind and fair. A rare breed but who have the guts to think independently and dont bow down in fear to angry and ugly african americans. I am a minority but would never and have voted someone based on color. YOU GO GIRL, YOU ARE A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUNG BLACK WOMEN EVERWHERE! YOU ARE NO ONES BITCH AND DECIDE YOUR OWN DESTINY!

As both an African-American female and a registered Democrat, I support Ms Dash’s constitutional right to exercise her first amendment privilege, freedom of speech and freedom of expression. As for the ignorant Black men who posted derogatory comments about her political endorsement and scantily-clad ads, get over it! It’s politics. PETA has half naked celebrities on their billboards to get their message across. Keep in mind, you do NOT have exclusive rights to us!…I will support Obama during this election ( not because of his skin color) because I have an extensive knowledge of Politics & Economics. Lets just say Mitt Romney doesn’t fool me. LOL! Ms Dash may see it differently, and you know what? She’s entitled to her own opinion. I admire her, actually. This took guts! Especially being faced by a hostile majority!

Stacy Dash should not be castigated for arriving at her own decision about things…..even if it is a stupid decision – not based on any great level of cognitive thinking.
