“Obey” icon Shepard Fairey took over Chicago alongside Hennessy V.S for an action-packed weekend of performances and parties. Nas’ 20th anniversary of iconic album, Illmatic, and the 10th anniversary of windy-city based music festival, Lollapalooza collided to provide the perfect party atmosphere for music lovers.

The weekend got a jump start Friday night (Aug. 1) with a special performance from the hip-hop legend at the Provocateurs Gallery at Block 37, where works of art from the likes of Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Retna and more adorned the walls of the Art Alliance space. The evening celebrated the new limited edition V.S bottle designed by gallery curator, Shepard Fairey, a contemporary artist by day but a passionate DJ and hip-hop lover by night. Party goers had a chance to fuse their love of music and art until the early morning hours where they sipped on cocktails including the jalepeno infused “Revolution”, created by Shepard himself.ShepFairyBasic_White-3625
